I’m Jeff Harris, a software engineer from New Zealand. A lot of the work here comes from poking at old games, old binaries, old tools, and the odd side project that starts small and refuses to stay that way.

The site has gradually shifted from a chronological blog into a library of writeups: reverse engineering notes, project postmortems, experiments with retro hardware, and product detours.

If you’re here for the main themes, start with the articles on Carmageddon, Need for Speed, DOOM, and Commodore 64 projects. If you’re more interested in software history than finished products, that’s probably the right fit.
